Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Riyad Piarroux, trading as "BNB Clean", ABN 68 502 292 530 ("BNB Clean", "we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, stores and discloses your personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy.

2. What personal information we collect

Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect:

• Account details: your name, email address, phone number and the city or area you are in;
• Profile information: your profile photo, bio, and (for Cleaners) whether you bring your own equipment;
• Property details (Clients): the addresses and basic details of the properties to be cleaned;
• Job and transaction data: jobs posted, applications, bookings, messages exchanged through the Platform, reviews and ratings;
• Payment-related data: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card numbers; Stripe handles that directly. We may receive limited confirmation data (such as whether a payment succeeded).

3. How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you create an account, complete your profile, post or apply for jobs, send messages, make payments, or contact us for support.

4. Why we collect and use it

We use your personal information to:

• create and manage your account;
• operate the marketplace (matching Clients and Cleaners, displaying profiles, ratings and reviews);
• enable bookings, messaging and payments;
• process Cleaner payouts;
• provide customer support and resolve disputes;
• send you transactional emails (such as account confirmation and booking updates);
• keep the Platform safe, secure and lawful.

We currently send transactional emails only. We do not send marketing emails at this stage; if we introduce them in the future, we will give you a way to opt out.

5. Disclosure to other users

By design, some of your information is shared with other users so the marketplace can work. For example, a Cleaner's profile, photo, ratings and reviews are visible to Clients; and when a Client selects a Cleaner, relevant job details (including the property address and contact needed to perform the service) are shared with that Cleaner. Please only share what is necessary.

6. Service providers we share data with

We use trusted third parties to run the Platform. These include:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting (data hosted in Sydney, Australia);
• Vercel — application hosting;
• Stripe — payment processing.

These providers only receive the information needed to perform their services and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. We expect to add an email delivery provider, such as Resend, in a future version, and will update this Policy accordingly.

7. Overseas disclosure

Our primary database is hosted in Australia (Sydney). However, some service providers (such as Stripe and Vercel) may process limited data on servers located overseas. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

8. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, including through access controls and secure, reputable infrastructure providers. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to address any issues promptly.

9. Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. You may ask us to delete your account, after which we will delete or de-identify your information where we are not required to keep it.

10. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
• complain if you believe we have mishandled your information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@bnbclean.au. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

11. Cookies and analytics

We currently use only the cookies and similar technologies necessary for the Platform to function (for example, to keep you logged in). We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this Policy.

12. Children

The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be notified through the Platform or by email.
